Baby Development - 10 months
Your Baby’s 10th Month:
Waving Bye-Bye
Hand gestures will be important while your baby learns to speak. Waving bye-bye and clapping are two of the first hand gestures that will help her communicate with you.
Drinking From A Cup
Now is a good time to begin introducing a cup for drinking. Experiment with
different types, such as sippy cups or those with straws. Some babies can
even drink from small plastic tumblers.
Standing Alone
Once your baby has mastered standing while holding on to something and cruising,
she’ll try to stand alone without help. This can be an anxious time
for new parents. Make sure to provide a safe place for her to practice her
new skills, and be ready to comfort her when she loses her balance.
