Baby Development - 11 months

Your Baby’s 11th Month:

Understanding “No”
For several months now, your baby has probably understood her name and several other words. Now, she is beginning to understand the meaning of “No.” Make sure to keep your voice calm but firm when using this important word.

Placing Objects In A Container
Your baby is now learning the concept of in and out. Give her a large pot and a pile of wooden blocks. Watch how she is mastering the ability to put them into the pot. She’ll probably be delighted with her achievement, so make sure to give her a round of applause.

Imitating Others
Your baby learns the function of objects by observing and imitating. You may find her this month holding a play phone up to her ear and babbling as if she was having a conversation. Or, she might experiment by brushing her hair with mommy’s hairbrush.
