Baby Development - 9 months
Your Baby’s 9th Month:
First Intentional Words
This month you may find your baby saying Mama and Dada to the right parent. As well, he may begin experimenting with other words.
Increased Standing
Once your baby has mastered pulling himself up to a standing position, he’ll
want to practice this relentlessly. Be patient and provide a soft place
for him to tumble as he learns to balance himself.
Pincer Grasp
Watch for your baby’s ability to pick things up with his thumb and
index finger. This is called the pincer grasp, and it’s an important
developmental milestone that will be necessary for self-feeding.
